Virgin Australia will soon be handing over more of its leisure routes to its low cost unit, Tigerair Australia when it switches from Airbus A320 to Boeing 737. Virgin Australia operates the 737 as well, resulting in a common 737 fleet.
Currently, Tigerair has 14 A320s wich are being used on domestic routes only and three 737-800 wich have only recently been transfered from its parent company- Virgin Australia.. The first aircraft was VH-VUB, pictured below:
Tigerairs existing A320 fleet willl be replaced with 737's over the next three years.
